Climate-KIC is one of five Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) designated by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as key drivers of European excellence, innovation and growth. The Climate-KIC creates a generation of climate change entrepreneurs and innovators with the multidisciplinary skills to develop economically, environmentally and socially sustainable approaches to mitigate global warming and adapt to its effects. Climate-KIC Switzerland through its core partner ETH Zurich seeks as of 15 September 2015 or later an Education Manager (100%) who supports and coordinates the education activities of Climate-KIC Education in Switzerland in close collaboration with the European Climate-KIC Education team.
The Education Manager is responsible for the design, organisation and daily processes of the international summer school programme The Journey in Zurich, of the Greenhouse programme for student business idea development and for the SPARK!-lecture programme for Climate-KIC students and PhDs. The Education Manager implements new educational formats and works in close collaboration with European and Swiss partners. S/he recruits students to the Climate-KIC Masters programme and is responsible for the community management of Masters and PhD students. Further tasks involve the evaluation and quality assurance of education programmes and the delivery of financial and administrative tasks associated with these programmes.
Candidates must have a Masters degree and should be highly motivated and interested in climate change, business and innovation. Excellent knowledge of both German and English is required. They must be able to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
