Climate-KIC is on a virtual journey around Europe from June until December 2015. Every week for 28 weeks we put the spotlight on a different part, join us and meet the people and initiatives who are creating your low carbon lifestyle.

During the final 28 weeks in the run up to the Paris climate change summit COP21, Climate-KIC puts a weekly spotlight on innovators around Europe. Meet the people and initiatives who are creating your low carbon lifestyle!

Follow #JourneyToParis to find out where we’ve stopped this week! #JourneyToParis

Key events:

Climathon

Winning Climathon participant teams could be made up of students, start-ups and (budding) entrepreneurs, big thinkers, technical experts or  app developers. The team(s) who come up with the most innovative and feasible solutions to address their city’s climate change problem, will get the opportunity to further develop their ideas in the months following the Climathon. They will be supported by business and city experts with mentoring and work space.

Groups at Climate-KIC locations in Europe will enter a trajectory at Climate-KIC’s famous start-up accelerator, offering all of the above support as well as unique exposure to Climate-KIC’s large network of start-ups, investors and businesses.

All winners will enter a trajectory to jointly work on their solution together with business and city experts in order to create real impact to the climate change challenge. In December 2015, the teams which have advanced the most will be selected in each city. Their business ideas will be presented as part of Climate-KIC's efforts during the UN's COP21 climate change conference in Paris.

Live Earth : Climate-KIC is an official partner of Live Earth

Live Earth, together with the United Nations, will run a global series of “Road to Paris” events in 2015. Climate-KIC's Climathon is a great opportunity for citizens around the world to take direct climate action in their cities on that day by working on innovative solutions to local climate change challenges.

In December 2015, the Climathon results will be featured as part of Climate-KIC's efforts during the UN’s COP21 climate change conference.
